Artist statement:

This artwork portrays the story of a newly donated liver helping to 'reconstruct' the life of a humble construction worker as it recovers from its transplant. The colours of his livelihood along with the strength to persevere slowly return back to his body, restoring the hope he once had. Through this artwork, I wanted to illustrate how a single act of kindness - such as an organ donation - can instill a great sense of gratitude and appreciation in those receiving it, transforming the lives of recipients struggling with grief. I hope that this artwork can inspire brave future organ donors and give them the courage and compassion to give others a precious second chance at life.
