Theme: Organic Perspectives

Artist statement:

In this artwork, a girl closes her eyes while playing the violin, as if listening to a voice coming from deep within life itself. The white branches extending across her face resemble veins and nerves, symbolising the invisible yet real connections between different lives. The glowing butterfly drifts through the light, representing life, memory, and hope being awakened and continued through organ donation. The second violinist below symbolises a recipient who has regained life through organ donation, creating a connection and emotional resonance with the upper figure through music. The artwork also imagines that if organs possessed the sense of hearing, they might remember melodies once heard, emotions once felt, and the warmth of life itself, continuing to echo within a new person. Through this piece, the artist hopes to express that the end of one's life is not truly an ending, as love, emotion, and the melody of life continue to resonate in another soul.
