Dear Mrs Goh,
I wanted to share with you something that has affected myself and our entire class, I believe. I recently learned about a piece of news that described Mrs Chua, our Mathematics teacher, and her remarkable deed of selflessness in donating her kidney to an unknown stranger. I am profoundly touched by this news and am inspired to act on it.
Learning about Mrs Chua's selfless act truly warmed my heart completely. People who are this selfless and compassionate don't come along frequently. She is an authentic representation of the compassion and altruism that the community of our school aspires to uphold, and the fact that she decided to give her kidney to someone who desperately needed it says volumes about her personality.
Given Mrs Chua's astonishing act, I believe it is only right that we give her our heartfelt thanks and respect when she returns after her one-month absence from work. I propose organising a class celebration to acknowledge her and appreciate her giving nature. We will likely require banners and posters to express our appreciation and gratitude throughout the classroom. We could additionally compose genuine cards and letters to express our sincere gratitude for her altruistic act of kindness.
We could additionally invite students and staff to share their thoughts about how Mrs Chua's act of kindness has influenced them personally during the celebration. This would not only highlight her altruistic nature but also enable our class to feel united and understand one another.
There are many reasons why it is important to have a celebration. First of all, this allows us an opportunity to express our appreciation for Mrs Chua's selflessness and compassion. We can demonstrate to her that her act of kindness has not gone unrecognised and that she has made a significant difference in the lives of others by uniting as a class to express our congratulations to her.
In addition, this celebration is a potent reminder of the intrinsic value of compassion and kindness in every aspect of life. The simple act of donating a kidney by Mrs Chua is an excellent example of the wonderful things that a single individual can accomplish for the lives of others. By recognising her, we uphold the moral principles that are fundamental to our school community as a whole: compassion and selflessness.
In my perspective, organising this celebration would be an excellent opportunity for our class to come together while reflecting on how important kindness and compassion are in every aspect of our lives, as well as serving as a meaningful way to thank Mrs Chua.
Thank you for your consideration of my proposal. I'll be keen on hearing what you believe we ought to do as we move forward with organising this celebration.
Sincerely,
Autsanee Lim
